At Charleville Girl Guides, our leaders and Rangers like to have fun and challenge themselves just as much as our younger Guides! Recently the leadership team and three older Guides took on the challenge to try pistol shooting. Thanks to the coaches at the Charleville Pistol Club the ladies were able to try shooting, many for the first time.
Girl Guides from Charleville (as part of the Major Mitchell Region) have recently returned from 2019 Trailblazers Centenary State Camp. The event was run and won at the spiritual home of Girl Guides Queensland at Kindilan, Redlands Bay, Brisbane.
587 registered participants and 320 special guests for Fiesta Day were the winners. They reconnected, made new life - long friends and challenged themselves in a Guide owned, purpose - built community, that tested even the most seasoned outdoors’ specialist. Girls had an amazing time experiencing abseiling, canoeing, low and high ropes, flying fox, rock climbing and team challenges, all while camping in the outdoors and having fun with friends. There was lots of great comments from leaders from across the State on how wonderful our Charleville girls behaved and their great ‘give it a go’ attitude.
