On 22 June the Junior Leader of 1st Charleville was presented her BP Award (the second highest award in Guiding before the Queen's Guide) at a special ceremony in Charleville. In attendance were the entire unit, leaders and special guests: the award recipient's gran (a trefoil Guide) and the last Charleville Guide to gain he award (in 2000). It was a great ceremony involving our girl of honour being wrapped in blue and white streamers that linked her to the unit and presentation of her badge, certificate and gift.

Members of the 1st Charleville Girl Guides were joined by 3 members of the 2nd Charleville (Lone) Guides to participate in this year's Guides Queensland State Good Turn. Girls had a sleepover at the Charleville Guide hut, however in order to enter they had to donate a pair of pyjamas that will be donated to the Pyjama Foundation. During the sleepover the girls put up ridge tents, built wash stands, played games, practiced first aid and had a camp fire. All of the girls had a wonderful time and the leaders are very proud of everyone who participated - you are awesome girls! Thanks for always being keen to learn, co-operate and support others.
